What Diaglotta knows about you, and what it does with it. For this website the answer is very little.
Who we are
Diaglotta is made by Kempson d.o.o., Ulica Roberta Frangeša-Mihanovića 9, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia (OIB 71244009557). Kempson d.o.o. is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything on this page, write to hello@diaglotta.com.
This website
- It sets no cookies.
- It remembers the language you choose on the front page, in your browser’s local storage. That stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
- It loads nothing from third parties. The type, images and scripts all come from diaglotta.com itself.
- It keeps no analytics and runs no tracking or advertising.
- The phone and the mix on the front page run entirely in your browser. Nothing you do with them is sent anywhere.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. on Cloudflare Workers. To deliver pages and protect the site from attack, Cloudflare processes your IP address and standard request details (the page asked for, the time, your browser’s name and version) and may keep them in logs. We keep no logs of our own, and those logs are kept for no longer than 30 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
When you ask to hear about the launch
If you give us your email address on the front page, we keep it, with the language pair you had chosen and the time, to send you one email when the apps launch. It is stored with Cloudflare (Workers KV). We keep it until that email is sent, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time by writing to hello@diaglotta.com.
To stop the form being abused, we also keep a one-way hash of your IP address for one hour. It cannot be turned back into the address and is then deleted.
When you write to us
If you email hello@diaglotta.com, we keep your address and your message so we can reply. Our email runs on Google Workspace, provided by Google LLC. The legal basis is your request (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering it (Article 6(1)(f)). We keep messages only as long as we need them to deal with what you asked.
We do not sell or share these addresses, and we use them for nothing else.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): hosting, delivery, security and the launch list.
- Google LLC (United States): email.
Both act on our instructions under data processing agreements. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which both companies are certified, and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy (access);
- correct it if it is wrong (rectification);
- delete it (erasure);
- hold it but not use it while a question about it is settled (restriction);
- stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest (objection);
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a common format (portability).
Write to hello@diaglotta.com. We answer within one month.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you may complain to the Croatian supervisory authority: Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr. You may also complain to the authority where you live or work.
The apps
The Diaglotta apps for iPhone and Android are not yet released. This policy covers the website only. Before the apps launch, we will update it to say what the apps collect and why.
